Getting started
Fourseat intercepts impulse purchases. Here is everything you need to get your first verdict.
1. Run your first debate
Copy any product link from Amazon, a shop, or Instagram, paste it into the box on the home page, and press Run the debate. Four advisors read the listing, argue about it, and the Chair hands down a verdict in about ten seconds.
2. Set your hourly wage
The Reality Check converts prices into hours of your working life, which is the number most people cannot unsee. Set your wage on the home page or in your account. It never leaves your profile and you can remove it any time.
3. Put Fourseat in your share sheet
On Android, open Fourseat in Chrome and choose Add to Home screen. Fourseat then appears in your native share sheet, so you can send any product straight to the board. On iPhone, add Fourseat to your Home Screen from the Safari share menu, then copy a link and paste it in.
4. Understand the verdicts
Buy means the Contrarian won: a genuine need, a true replacement, or strong cost-per-use. Skip means it smells like impulse. Wait means sleep on it for 48 hours or wait for the price event the Deal Hunter named. If you still want it in two days, it passed the test.
5. Track what you saved
With an account, every verdict is saved. Mark each one as resisted or bought, and Fourseat keeps a running tally of the money that stayed in your pocket.
Missing prices
Some stores hide their prices from automated readers. When that happens, Fourseat asks you to type the price and the debate proceeds normally.
